ALAN MARTIN
Intergrative Relational Pychotherapist and Counsellor
About Me
I am an NCS professionally accredited Integrative Psychotherapist running my private practice from Nottingham City Centre close to Hockley Creative Quarter working with individuals and couples.
My approach is compassionate and empathic. I will support you to find new, creative ways to the trouble you are experiencing.

I believe we are born with the potential and resources to be in rewarding relational contact with other human beings and lead a satisfying, creative life. However, I know from personal and professional experience how in the early years of life - and sometimes later – something can interrupt this process, and we can become stuck in fixed patterns and beliefs that hinder us.
I work in a way that promotes the opportunity to uncover how these patterns are still active and affecting your current life. I hope to support you to find new more creative ways to resolve the problem or crisis you are facing.

Through therapy it is possible to feel less burdened, reach your potential and fulfil goals.

For the past two years post-graduation I have been working for Trent PTS, an NHS IAPT service, alongside running my private practice. My post-graduation development has included ‘Compassionate Minds’, ‘Counselling for Depression’ and ‘Person Centred Counselling'. I have now completed Advanced Gestalt Group Facilitation training and Couples Therapy for Depression CTFD certificate.
